Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is used to help the adolescent focus on challenging distorted thoughts and replacing faulty beliefs with rational thoughts. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is also utilized to aid adolescents in learning how to regulate their emotions, learn to delay gratification, live in the moment and accept responsibility for the actions and their future.
