As a Primary Therapist at our Sherman Oaks location, Anna works one-on-one with teens to help them develop the skills they need to be successful upon discharge. Anna’s one-of a-kind interpersonal style inspires confidence in even the most uncertain teens. With tremendous commitment to the values of care, merit, integrity and respect, Anna has a knack for emboldening clients and instantly establishing a strong rapport. Teens whom Anna works with make great strides in treatment and unlock inner strengths they sometimes never knew they had.
Anna began her undergraduate career as a theater major, but as soon as she took her first psychology class she knew that it was the field of study that suited her best. She was instantly taken with studying human behavior, the mind, and psychology’s infinite potential to exact change. For Anna, combining her fascination with psychology and her calling to help others made becoming an M.F.T.I. a natural career choice. Anna graduated from C.S.U. Channel Islands with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She then went on to earn her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology at California Lutheran University with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.
In the past Anna worked at a summer camp for adolescents with diabetes. According to her, this was a life changing experience. The work Anna did with teens there started her on her path to Adolescent Growth, where she is proud to be a role model and make a difference in the lives of struggling teens and their families. Since she began working with us, Anna’s passion for counseling has only grown. Anna’s days at Adolescent Growth are spent developing in-depth and individualized treatment plans for our adolescents with the professional help and guidance of every member of our talented team.
When she is not working, Anna enjoys outdoor activities, especially hiking. If she is not outside enjoying nature, she can be found watching TV or reading and spending time with her adorable cat Neko.
