The philosophy of Adolescent Growth is to provide a nurturing environment for hurting teens to realize and reach their full potential. As some teenagers grow, they acquire various beliefs, behaviors and self-statements that are faulty and distort the truth. These beliefs and behaviors contribute to the feeling of fear, sadness, and anger which produce a behavioral response of addiction, self-abusive behavior and mood disturbance. Our mission is to help teens examine and replace faulty beliefs and behaviors with positive and healthy alternatives.
We utilize a unique blend of traditional therapeutic approaches with creative innovative clinically proven methods to bring about change. Specific treatment approaches that are used include: cognitive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral therapy, brief therapy, solution focused therapy, reality therapy, art therapy, (DBT) dialectical behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, 12-step interventions and others. We individualize treatment for each client to address their specific needs.
